Household water purifier does not need for a long time what bad can there be?

After the water purifier is bought, the family sometimes goes unused for a long time. So what should you do if you haven't used your home water purifier in a long time?

If not used for a long time, it will lead to poor water quality, water odor, bacteria, small water yield and other problems. Having not used a water purifier for such a long time, you must pay attention to the following points!

If you are not at home during holidays or do not need to use water purifiers for a long time, it is best to cut off water and electricity:

Cut off the water: Follow the water purifier's inlet line to the tap water inlet valve and close it! Then turn on the pure water faucet and drain all the water.

Power off: Power off the water purifier or unplug it. This can avoid voltage instability or circuit failure caused by machine damage.

The water purifier that does not need for a short time can continue to be used as long as the treatment method below is adopted.

1. Flush the water purifier first

If the machine is not in use for about 15 days, first turn on the water source switch of the water purifier and press “ Wash & throughout; Flush the button for 3-5 minutes, turn on the pure water faucet and drain the water from the pressure bucket until the water cannot be discharged.

Continue to drain water for 5-10 minutes.

2. If it is not used for more than three months, it is recommended to replace the filter element

If the water purifier is not used for more than 3 months or even longer, it will lead to dry spots in the filter element, pore size contraction, loss of the original filtration function, and may breed bacteria in the machine.

In order to avoid secondary pollution, it is recommended to replace all filter elements once, and test whether the water quality is up to standard after replacement.

The filter core plays an important role in the service life and purification effect of the water purifier, so it is suggested to replace the filter core regularly.
